We provide development

What is unique about Diamond Skin Care is that the development training is carried through end to end.  We listen to our staff and work with them on what they would like to develop but also give them the opportunity to develop in areas of interest. We often hear that staff have training but perhaps it is not completed, signed off or put into practice.  Not Diamond Skin Care, we want you to develop, learn, feel valued and enjoy what you do.

As an example our nursing staff have been trained in dermoscopy, minor surgery and systemics.  Our support teams are trained in phlebotomy. Roles within Diamond Skin Care

Doctors & Consultants

  • £50K-£80K/annum
  • Private Medical Indemnity covered by DSC
  • Designated body and appraisals through DSC

Responsible for delivery high level of service and working closely with the Consultant Dermatologist(s). Providing clinical diagnosis and explanations to patients whilst training in dermoscopy to become an expert in skin cancer diagnosis and removal via Diamond Skin Care internal training programme.

This is a senior clinical role supervising junior clinical and nursing colleagues. The post has responsibilities as audit lead for the centre and promoting excellence in diagnostic and treatment decisions. Applicants with 1 or more years of post training/residency experience as consultant in UK are strongly encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  1. Prior experience of managing full range of adult and paediatric general dermatoses with knowledge of available UK guidelines
  2. Proven expertise of skin cancer screening and diagnostic accuracy using dermoscopy (valid certification required). Experience of complete pathway of skin cancer management and follow up care in UK dermatology
  3. Proven surgical expertise in safe oncological removal of skin cancers
  4. Demonstrated expertise in standard repair and closure techniques
  5. Proven experience and knowledge of common biologics and systemics used in conjunction with UK guidelines and practice
  6. Practical knowledge and use of dermatopathology for CPCs and case management decisions

 

What the role entails

  • 10 sessions/week (6 clinical, 4 admin/managerial)
  • No on call or out of hours commitment
  • Supervision and training of nurses and medical staff (internal and external)
  • Clinical support for administrative staff
  • Input for service improvement and launch of new services
  • Design and implementation of service audits

This is a senior medical leadership role with supervision, educational and training responsibilities for clinical staff. The post holder aids in the the design, implementation and maintenance of minimal staff competencies required.

Requirements; The points below are in addition to the requirements list for the Dermatology Consultant position above.

 

  1. Confident expertise of managing full range of adult and paediatric general dermatoses with knowledge of available UK guidelines
  2. Previous experience of delivering postgraduate training and/or mentoring in dermatology to individuals or small groups.
  3. Experience in production of evidence based practices and/or policies
  4. Previous experience and knowledge of UK healthcare regulatory mechanisms

What the role entails

  • 10 sessions/week (5 clinical, 5 admin/managerial)
  • No on call or out of hours commitment
  • Training and assessments for clinical staff to DSC required competency level
  • Ensure huddle support for administrative staff
  • Geographical expansion – establishment and registration of new centres
  • Research and publication lead for centre
  • Ensure services and practices satisfy minimum DSC evidence based standards and are in line with DSC guidelines and policies
  • CQC manager support for centre

£190K+/annum, quarterly performance bonus and franchise option after completion of year 1.

This is one of the most senior and most rewarding positions in the company. It is a broad leadership role that would best suit a dermatologist with skills to grow and nurture a clinical centre. If you are interested in developing a team and service you can be proud of then this is an ideal position for you. You will be responsible for the quality of dermatology care provided to all patients covering a designated region (usually along county boundaries). You will be the regional lead supporting all senior clinical personnel serving the centres in your designated region and will support the development of clinical policies and guidance documents across the whole organisation.

Requires: minimum 5 years+ experience as a consultant or associate specialist level dermatologist in UK environment OR completion of internal DSC training elements. Deep knowledge and working experience of UK patient care pathways, local spectrum of adult and paediatric dermatoses and relevant guidelines in UK. Applied knowledge of evidence based practices.

Nursing

£29K – £40K/annum internal training elements towards senior/leadership positions , quarterly bonus after completion of year 1, internal training elements towards senior/leadership positions.

Requires a minimum of 1 year experience and a registered nurse. You will be established in your nursing career but eager to progress and develop your skill, knowledge and experience. Responsible for delivery high level of service and working closely with clinician(s) and training towards operating own nurse led clinic and dermoscopy and minor surgery via Diamond Skin Care internal training programme.

£30K – £60K/annum, quarterly bonus after completion of year 1, internal training elements towards senior/leadership positions.

Requires a minimum of 2 years experience as a registered nurse. As an established nurse you will already be delivering exceptional patient care and have leadership skills. You will be responsible for delivery high level of service and working closely with the all clinicians and support training to clinicians, nurses and client care in within the clinical environment. You will be trained in operating your own nurse led clinics and in dermoscopy and minor surgery via he Diamond Skin Care internal training programme.

Administration & Management

£20K – £23.5K/annual, quarterly bonus after completion of 1 year.  Training towards Senior Client Care Assistant role.

Requires a minimum of 1 years experience within a customer care or health care role.  You will have a desire or passion for working in clinical setting as well as an office environment.  This role enjoys the best of both worlds combining working in a clinic with our clinicians and balanced with helping clients book the right service type for their requirements.   Working within a team focused on delivering exceptional service at all stages of the client journey.  You will be trained towards a Senior Client Care Assistant role via the Diamond Skin Care internal training programme.
